Meet the team:
The Social Media Specialist is the Marketing Team's closest connection to our most important priority: our patients. The position is a critical member of the patient marketing team responsible for our flagship G7 CGM System. Together we educate, inspire, and facilitate people with diabetes discovering and adopting Dexcom CGM as the cornerstone of their diabetes management. We also take great pride in supporting and celebrating the large and small victories of our 1MM+ patients, helping to foster a supportive community for all people with diabetes.
Where you come in:
You will be the day-to-day manager of all Social Media patient communications, caring for inbound patient needs, celebrating patient successes, and escalating issues to the appropriate other teams.
You will lead all patient communications on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, and will help evaluate future Social Media channels.
You will proactively give Dexcom a motivational and empathic voice across Social Media channels, helping to expand our audience and reach.
You will work with the content creation team to influence the Social Media content so that it will resonate with our patients.
You will serve as the voice of the patient within the brand marketing team, assuring that the team is attuned to the ever changing likes, dislikes, needs, wants, and conversation of our patients on our Social Media channels.
You will work closely with our customer service and technical support teams to provide a seamless patient experience and facilitate patient learnings across departments.

You have experience with and a strong grasp of the nuances of each Social Media platform: what makes brands effective, what resonates with the audience, and the unique communication styles of each platform.
You are never done learning: Social Media platforms, the digital landscapes, and social trends are constant evolving and you are at the forefront of these shifts.
You can recognize patterns underlying motivations from patient interactions and translate them into actionable solutions that scale across our channels.
You are persistent in looking for new and better ways to serve our patients, both in the efficiency of serving them and with increasing empathy.
Must haves:
Expert knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok.
Proven interpersonal written communication skills.
Ability to communicate with empathy to our patients.
Interest in and understanding of marketing strategy.
Nice to haves:
Healthcare industry experience.
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Advertising, Communications, or related field.
Spanish speaking ability.

Experience and Education Requirements:
Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 2-5 years of related experience.
Remote Workplace : Your location will be a home office; you are not required to live within commuting distance of your assigned Dexcom site (typically 75 miles/120km). If you reside within commuting distance of a Dexcom site (typically 75 miles/120km) a hybrid working environment may be available. Ask about our Flex workplace option.
