Overview:
Social Media Specialist

As our Social Media Specialist, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing all digital marketing (including websites, Social Media, video, and other digital content) across various channels.

Reports to: Vice President of Human Resources

As a Social Media Specialist, you will contribute to our success in the following ways:
Responsibilities:
  • Create and maintain digital marketing content across various channels to increase employer branding, brand awareness, and drive traffic in support of the company’s business strategies.
  • Create and update websites using industry best practices for HTML, CSS, CMS, Bootstrap, and WordPress.
  • Plan, create and schedule Social Media content for Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube and other Social Media channels and stay up to date with industry trends in web design, video production, and Social Medial practices.
  • Schedule, post, analyze and moderate organic social posts across social platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, TikTok, Twitter, LinkedIn, and others as they emerge for Consumer Brands.
  • Create and publish Social Media posts according to the company’s Social Media content calendar. This role will be responsible for researching and turning content ideas into videos, images, infographics, and text captions.
  • Provide insight on best practices and media formats and placements that help drive performance. Stay on top of latest Social Media trends/pivots and explore new platforms for brands to responsibly expand our Social Media presence.
  • Spearhead employee/customer engagement on company’s Social Media platforms. Respond to employees/customers who voice their feedback, questions, or complaints on Social Media channels.
  • Track and report on company’s digital media analytics and metrics, making suggestions for improvement based on your findings in these reports.
  • Perform other duties and needed and/or assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Ability to utilize various analytical tools to track/report performance and make improvement recommendations.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Lightroom, and Premiere Pro) is necessary.
  • Deep knowledge of Social Media trends, hashtags, and engagement strategy
  • Proven experience in creating engaging content on different Social Media platforms—Twitter, TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube
  • Ability to turn a concept into compelling content.
  • Ability to incorporate our brand voice and identity in digital content.
  • Extensive knowledge of the popular Social Media platforms
  • Experience and demonstrated ability to craft content for various communication channels, with emphasis on strong written and visual communication skills.
  • Experience as a Social Media or Digital Marketing Specialist with a minimum of three years’ experience; specifically, experience managing Social Media platforms and experience with tools for analysis and optimization with a track record of proven deliverables.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills with a proven ability to work in a fast-paced and rapidly evolving environment.
  • Ability to excel, exceed, and demonstrate a sense of urgency with outlined deadlines for Social Media deliverables.
  • Background in writing Social Media copy, including adopting brand tone and Social Media best practices.
  • Effective digital media communication skills, including experience in community-building/de-escalation communication techniques
