This position serves to support the mission of Baylor University as a Social Media Specialist, creating content for and helping manage one or more University-level Social Media platforms. The successful candidate will be able to use simple tools to complete quick-turn Social Media projects and understand visual media and is adept at telling stories via photos and video.
An Associate's degree and an active Christian faith is required. A Bachelor's degree and three years of relevant work experience is preferred. A combination of experience and education may be considered in lieu of the degree requirement.
A valid Texas Driver License with a clear driving record of at least two years is required.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
What You Will Do
- Create content (taking photos, filming and editing videos, and writing posts) for one or more University-level Social Media platforms.
- Participate in the management (planning, posting, handling replies/comments/DMs, etc.) of one or more University-level Social Media platforms
- Aid the team in developing, implementing and reviewing Social Media strategy
- Write for BaylorProud blog
- Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor's mission
- Ability to comply with University policies
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance
