Form of workNew Realm Brewing & Distilling Co. is seeking talented candidates for the full-time position of Social Media and Communications Coordinator. This position is located at our Virginia Beach location. The Social Media and Communications Coordinator will manage all content to be deployed across all touchpoints to include beer, spirits, culinary and branded content. This position will also work cross functionally with the retail sales, special events and restaurant teams. RESPONSIBILITIES & ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Communication Coordinators will be located in our each of our locations charged with managing branded and restaurant communications onsite and offsite while creating unique Social Media content on the company’s owned channels to engage and grow our fanbase and sustain our followers’ interest and curiosity (i.e., create buzz) in all things related to NRBC.
- Create engaging copy, imagery, and video content with the proper NRBC voice/personality. Collaborate and schedule content with the Manager of Programming and Community Outreach across all departments.
- Devise new ways to attract and engage new fans while deepening relationships with existing followers.
- Coordinate and support taproom marketing communications strategy including on-site programming, beer releases, offsite events/partnerships and happenings in home and remote markets.
- Support community events in each community through outreach and The Giving Realm.
- At a minimum, provide photography, video for brand releases, new menu items, at on-site/off-site events and partnership activations.
EXPERIENCE & SKILL QUALIFICATIONS
- Proficiency in Social Media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Instagram Stories/Live) and writing/content creation for these platforms.
- Photography skills are highly preferred and videography skills are strongly considered.
- Great organizational skills - ability to multi-task, create systems, SOPs, and calendars and manage workload across multiple brands, locations, and disciplines.
- Remote team functions – comfort & experience working with cross-functional teams who may be in other locations permanently or occasionally.
- Self-starter – ability to maintain workload independently without micromanagement.
- Creative thinker - can help with naming, packaging design, and new marketing ideas.
- Understanding of Dropbox, Microsoft Office, and Google G Suite required.
- Some design editing experience (Photoshop, Lightroom, and Illustrator) preferred.
- Willingness to travel several times per year throughout the southeast.
- Flexible schedule availability preferred as role will also need to support off-hours events which will not fall during regular 9-5 working office hours.
- Capacity to lift 35lbs & work on your feet during events and activations a must.
