Nectar also develops websites for its clients and manages clients’ paid and email marketing. Nectar is seeking a full-time, highly motivated Shopify Website Developer. This position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies in website development and collaborate with digital marketing partners to drive business growth through impactful online experiences.
Nectar is seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual passionate about web development who thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Additionally, this position will collaborate closely with other departments to bring web-based ideas to life and will be responsible for developing and testing web interfaces.
This is a full-time, fully remote position.
Responsibilities:
- Build back-end functionality and landing pages for direct-to-consumer websites in collaboration with digital marketing partners.
- Utilize expert knowledge of Shopify and Liquid templating language to customize and enhance Shopify themes.
- Ensure seamless integration of front-end and back-end components for optimal user experience.
- Collaborate with design teams to translate Figma design mock-ups into functional web pages, leveraging familiarity with the process to ensure accurate representation of design elements and user interactions.
- Optimize website performance, responsiveness, and scalability to meet business objectives.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in e-commerce website development.
Primary Qualifications:
- Must be proficient in HTML, CSS, Liquid coding, and JavaScript with a strong understanding of web development principles and best practices.
- Working knowledge of Shopify and extensive experience with Liquid templating language, including the ability to deeply customize Shopify themes to achieve desired functionality and design.
- Demonstrated experience developing and implementing back-end solutions for e-commerce websites, focusing on direct-to-consumer channels.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Proven experience in implementing and managing conversion tracking using Google Tag Manager.
- In-depth understanding of Google Analytics and other relevant analytics platforms.
Other Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Webflow or similar website design and development platforms, such as building websites using Webflow.
- Knowledge of UX/UI principles and best practices, focusing on creating intuitive and visually appealing digital experiences.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Possess a keen attention to detail for achieving pixel-perfect design and ensuring optimal user experience.
- Familiarity with various analytics tools beyond Google Analytics for comprehensive tracking (e.g., Facebook Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag).
- Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics certifications (not required, but a plus)
