Shipping/Receiving Warehouse Supervisor

SUMMARY: Manage all shipping and receiving operations and personnel including management of warehouse personnel. Provides direction, planning on the activities with the warehousing and inventory of packaged media and filters, vacuum packed finished goods. Oversees and coordinates the receipt and placement of raw materials, supplies and packaging components as well as the shipment of products and equipment. Ensure all incoming and shipping contents align with invoices and manifests. Provide direction to ensure that all activities are undertaken with adherence to all safety procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Additional duties may be assigned.

· Develop, implement, and consistently demonstrate procedures to ensure orders are accurately filled, loaded, and shipped with the highest quality and efficiency, at the best delivered price.

· Develop, implement, and consistently demonstrate procedures to ensure finished goods are warehoused in the most efficient and organized manner, including FIFO stock rotation, space allocation, accurate cycle counting of inventory and any necessary adjustments to inventory. Insure maximum use of available bin space.

· Develop, implement, and consistently demonstrate procedures to ensure alignment of received goods to appropriate paperwork and that the materials, supplies, and packaging components are properly placed internally.

· Review warehouse operations quarterly to determine overall levels of efficiency, safety, bin space, employee morale and productivity. Present findings and suggested changes to Management.

· Directly supervise 10-15 employees in the shipping and receiving/warehouse department.

· Analyze work orders, invoices, and product shipping demand weekly to estimate shipping, storage, and delivery requirements to develop employee schedules and resource allocation requirements.

· Analyze product levels and truck size to determine most efficient mode and economical routing of transportation, including evaluation of LTL and Parcel shipments.

· Foster teamwork throughout company.

· Identify unsafe working conditions and unsafe acts. Provide direct remedy or inform Safety Manager of unsafe conditions.

· Investigate causes of damages or shortages of shipments and incorrect freight bills. Insure audit trail on shipment loading. File freight claims for discrepancies.

· Plan, direct and coordinate personnel to complete and warehouse all vacuum pack orders.

· Maintain strong level of housekeeping to the warehouse, dock areas. Inspect physical condition of warehouse, docks, and equipment routinely. Initiate appropriate actions to remedy unsatisfactory or unsafe findings.

· Provide training and mentoring to Warehouse and Logistics team members.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
