Overview:
POSITION SUMMARY:

The incumbent in this position is responsible for performing and over-seeing manual labor tasks, including loading, storing, and issuing inventory and non-inventory items. The incumbent also issues & receives all warehouse inventory, prepares & maintains all related records and reports, maintains order of inventory, and deliver inventory to other locations.
Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Plans and routes deliveries on company trucks, loads trucks, documents shipments, receiving, unloading, and storing product or files, maintains inventory and storage areas, secures warehouse, maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment.
  • Maintains accurate inventory records and trouble shoots problem areas.
  • Analyzes daily reports and develops/implements recommendations for improved efficiency.
  • Assists with set up of casino marketing projects as needed.
  • Maintains storage area by organizing floor space; adhering to storage design principles; recommending improvements.
  • Maintains accurate records and database of inventory materials received, warehoused, and dispersed.
  • Develop and implement systems to maximize efficiency and profitability.
  • Maintain system integrity through ongoing evaluations of multiple processes.
  • Performs quarterly and annual audits of inventory items.
  • Accomplishes warehouse objectives by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions; recommending compensation actions; adhering to policies and procedures.
  • Identify requirements and ensure availability of labor.
  • Supervise warehouse attendants.
  • Provide strong leadership to all warehouse team members to foster a healthy working environment.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and other safety codes and regulations.
  • Responsible for ordering warehouse supplies.
  • Maintain oversight to identify and prevent problems and provide direction for problem resolution.
  • Develop and review daily reports for inventory accuracy; staff utilization; equipment utilization.
  • Keeps equipment operating by enforcing operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; requiring preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
  • Provides manual labor in the warehouse and receiving areas by loading, unloading and moving merchandise. This may include receiving slot machines at the loading dock; there will be no access to the interior of the slot machines.
  • Aids receiving team members by verifying correct counts of items received and noting discripancies or damages.
  • Maintain proper storage of inventory merchandise to avoid spills or spoilage; rotates stock according to schedule.
  • Maintains work areas in a safe and proper manner; reports any unsafe and/or hazardous conditions.
  • Manage and maintain stock control: Planning future needs and adjusting par levels, process stock order review orders, control dead stock and maintain scheduling of deliveries on the dock.
  • Composes correspondence under the direction of Management.
  • Adheres to all Indiana Gaming Commission Regulations and Departmental Standard Operating Procedures.

NON-ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Attend seminars when needed.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION AND /OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
(Related education and experience may be interchangeable on a year for year basis)

High school diploma or GED required.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: (Licenses, Certifications, Testing, etc.):

  • Must obtain and maintain all licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Indiana Gaming Commission.
  • Must successfully pass background check.
  • Must successfully pass drug screening.
  • Must be twenty-one (21) years of age.

KNOWLEDGE OF:

  • Procedures, methods, and equipment including computers and applicable software applications such as word processing, email, spreadsheets, and databases to include excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Reviewing inventory stock levels and placing orders to maintain par levels.
  • Excellent work ethic.
  • Organizational skills.

ABILITY TO:

  • Be flexible to work varying shifts and time schedules as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with outside contacts and all levels of team members.
  • Obtain and maintain all appropriate licenses/certifications per Federal, State, and Gaming regulations.
  • Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Speak effectively before groups of guests or team members.
  • Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Interact with employees and vendors in a professional manner.
  • Promote teamwork and a constructive work environment.
  • Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Speak effectively before groups of customers or Team Members.
  • Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
