Warehouse and Displays Supervisor

As one of the country’s souvenir and confectionery suppliers, Squire Boone Village relies on our warehouses being organized and efficiently supervised. To deliver on our promise to our customers, we count on committed and dedicated people. We’re seeking a supervisor to join our team to supervise and work alongside material handlers whose job duties include inventory movements, cycle counting, receiving, delivering inventory to production departments and unloading containers in New Albany and Jeffersonville warehouses.

You will also supervise our Displays Department, where a small team of workers pack, organize, and do minor maintenance work on candy and souvenir displays. Some light carpentry or wood working skills are preferred.

Daily Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily activities of the warehouse, including quality assurance, inventory control, space management, logistics, and floor productivity.
• Receiving container load shipments, entering inventory locations into an inventory locator system, pulling requisitions from warehouses, and delivering to the production floor.
• Supervise our Displays Department, where a small team of workers pack, organize, and do minor maintenance work on candy and souvenir displays
• Inspect equipment, tools, and machinery regularly, and oversee general maintenance as needed
• Ensures that employees comply with applicable safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Ensures paperwork is completed and signed correctly.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 1+ years experience in a warehouse lead role supervising hourly employees
• Proficient knowledge of warehouse procedure and policy
• Problem-solving skills and leadership qualities
• Ability to work with all levels of company staff
• Comfortable delivering frequent direct written and verbal feedback
• Valid Driver's License and clean driving record.
• Ability to drive a 26’ Box Truck ( no CDL license required) with manual transmission.
• Fork Lift experience.
• Ability to lift 50 lb boxes and pallets, unload containers, and work alongside workers under your supervision.
• Computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs Word and Excel
• Some light carpentry or woodworking skills preferred.
