Job Description
-Assure orders and shipping quantities documents are correct through careful audit of documents and components
-Ship orders using FEDEX, UPS and XCarrier
-Use hand tools, panel saws, chop saws, nail gun, and staple gun to fabricate wood components and assemble crate to pack finished product
-Assist and evaluate needs with shipping points, services, weights and other information
-Notify consignee of shipment arrival
-Enter data pertaining to domestic and international shipments into ISO forms, i.e. shipment confirmation, and into the shipping systems of commercial freight carriers
-Monitor the supply of packaging materials and requisition additional supplies as required
-Confirm physical shipment of goods, facilitate tracking of packages
-Identify errors on packing lists and ensure the accuracy of all shipping document by strict adherence to standard operation procedures
-Maintain all data and records relative to shipping activities
-Ensure that drivers depart with appropriate paperwork
-High School Degree or GED equivalent
-At least one (1) year of shipping and/or manufacturing experience preferred
-Experience using hand and power tools
-Strong written and verbal communication skills
-Basic math skills
-Comfortable standing, walking, lifting throughout the day
