Job description

Summary

This position is primarily responsible for picking, checking, and preparing products for shipping from the warehouse. This position is also responsible for staging, stocking, loading, and unloading products by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Picks products for shipment.

· Ensures that all products are accurate and in good condition.

· Verify accuracy of items prior shipping.

· Stages products for checking in the designated shipping area.

· Palletizes products and marks boxes with reference numbers such as purchase order and bill of lading.

· Follows all warehouse health, safety and security programs, policies, and procedures in compliance with OSHA regulations.

· Safely operates forklifts and other shipping machinery.

· Follows required methods of performing work in accordance with organizational policy.

· Stock and re-stocks product to maintain warehouse organization.

· Cleans and maintains the warehouse as needed.

· Wraps packages or inspects wrapping for conformance to company standards and regulations.

· Affixes shipping labels on packed cartons.

· Unloads containers and stocks or transfers products as instructed.

· Follow all company policies, SOPs, instruction from supervisors.

Attendance

Must be punctual and timely in meeting all requirements of performance, including, but not limited to, attendance standards and work deadlines; beginning and ending assignments on time; and scheduled work breaks; where applicable.

Qualification

Education and Experience

A High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
