Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Shipping and Receiving Clerk. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the flow of goods in and out of our warehouse. The ideal candidate will have experience with order picking, stock management, and operating forklifts. This is a full-time position located at our distribution center.

Duties:
- Receive incoming shipments and verify their contents
- Inspect packages for damage and report any discrepancies or issues
- Unload trucks and move inventory to designated storage areas using forklifts or other equipment
- Pick orders accurately and efficiently using a warehouse management system
- Pack and label outgoing shipments according to customer specifications
- Load trucks with outgoing orders, ensuring proper stacking and securing of items
- Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing shipments
- Perform regular inventory counts to ensure stock accuracy
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred
- Proficient in basic math skills for inventory management
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems is a plus
- Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods of time
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

Preferred:

- Valid forklift certification ( we will train if needed)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
