Job Posting: Shipping Clerk
Shift: Second Shift 2:30- 11 pm
Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our shipping operations. As a Shipping Clerk, you will be responsible for verifying bills of lading, coordinating with the Shipping Manager, organizing paperwork, and adhering to company policies. Additionally, you will be involved in special projects and will follow established practices and procedures through our robust Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point System (HACCP) to maintain the safe and legal storage of products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Bill of Lading Verification:
- Thoroughly check bills of lading for accuracy to guarantee the precision of outgoing shipments.
- Shipping Operations Coordination:
- Collaborate closely with the Shipping Manager to ensure seamless coordination of shipping activities.
- Paperwork Organization:
- Efficiently organize "mail slots" with the appropriate paperwork to facilitate smooth shipping processes.
- Policy Compliance:
- Ensure strict adherence to company policies governing shipping procedures and protocols.
- Versatile Contributions:
- Undertake various duties and contribute to special projects as needed to support overall operational excellence.
- HACCP Implementation:
- Follow established practices and procedures through our Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point System (HACCP) to uphold quality and safety standards.
- Quality Management System:
- Play a vital role in maintaining a quality management system for safe and legal storage of products.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in shipping or related logistics roles.
- Familiarity with Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) systems.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
