Duties:
- Receive incoming shipments and verify the contents against purchase orders or invoices
- Unpack and inspect items for damages or defects
-Collaborate with vendors, suppliers and stakeholders to ensure the company's operational needs are met efficiently
- Label and organize inventory in designated storage areas
- Prepare outgoing shipments by packing items securely and labeling them accurately
- Coordinate with carriers to schedule pick-ups and deliveries
- Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing shipments
- Perform inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies
- Assist with order picking and order fulfillment as needed
Requirements:
- Previous experience in shipping and receiving or a similar role preferred
- Familiarity with shipping operations and procedures
- Proficient in using computer systems for inventory management
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Physical stamina to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods of time
- Knowledge of e-commerce platforms is a plus
