What to expect:

The full-time Shipping/Receiving Associate will perform activities related to the timely and efficient movement of materials (receipt, handling, storage, shipment) in a fast-paced production environment. Maintain a clean and safe work environment, consistently meet productivity metrics, and adhere to all company and departmental policies. Tasked with assignments that are routine in nature but recognizes the need for occasional deviation from day-to-day practice.

What we expect:

• Perform physical activities corresponding to the unloading, storage, picking, labeling, packaging, and shipping of materials/client orders
• Perform shipping and receiving duties of the company's products into complete packages including, but not limited to fragile ceramics, lighting fixtures, furniture, accessories, operating instructions, and data sheets
• Perform other packaging tasks including placing accurate labels on packages
• Maintains related records to comply with UL standards as well as the client order filing system
• Forming or breaking down boxes for final product
• Perform computer transactions to ship or return materials ensuring conformance to company standards
• Count and record departmental Cycle Count to maintain inventory accuracy
• Operate the material handling equipment (MHE) required to perform activities in a safe and efficient manner by operating small production equipment such as a pallet jack, hand truck, pushcart, and freight elevator
• Provide consistent service in support of production operations as well as customer requirements via phone, email or in person
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Ability to walk, sit, stand, bend, climb, and balance. Ability to lift/move 75 pounds by hand and up to 2500 pounds with material handling equipment

Skills:

• Ability to read, understand, and follow all written procedures
• Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally
• Fully trained in more than one functional department core responsibility
• Achieve Fully Competent production of metrics (volume, accuracy, timeliness) in line with departmental goals
• Understanding of warehouse, manufacturing, and/or distribution process
• Strong attention to detail/accuracy with excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
• Ability to anticipate, identify, and resolve challenges both independently and collaboratively

Education & Experience:

• High School or General Education Degree (GED), May have an Associate Degree
• 1 - 2 years of experience
• Experience in ERP systems and Microsoft Office skills
• Experience with Shopify and ShipStation is beneficial.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
