Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
- Directs production and inventory control, Shipping and Receiving, and materials storage.
- Directs production planning and scheduling based on sales forecasts.
- Maintains inventory levels to ensure deliveries occur within customer timelines.
- Maintains and ensures accuracy of the perpetual inventory system.
- Works with purchasing department to schedule delivery of materials, supplies, and equipment.
- Oversees Shipping and Receiving functions related to purchased parts and finished goods.
- Manages and monitors storage of purchased parts and finished goods.
- Performs write-offs on damaged or obsolete inventory to reflect accurate value of inventory.
- Prepare master schedule.
- Determine delivery dates and enter assembly orders and purchase requisitions.
- Monitor progress and follow up on orders to ensure ship dates are held.
- Reschedule open orders and planned order releases in accordance with customer requirements, material availability and forecast requirements.
- Process order changes, cancellations and rush jobs along with fixing problems on the shop floor that relate to orders.
- Prepare and maintain weekly and monthly shipping schedules.
- Create requisitions and determine required return dates for work sent out for outside operations, considering job order priorities and total material parts availability for given order affected.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing materials and products
- Move materials to and from loading docks, delivery trucks, storage areas, and manufacturing areas
- Identify and label materials, and record their locations in the warehouse/on the shelves to maintain inventory
- Prepare finished products for shipment by identifying their location, then pulling, packing, and loading them
- Operate trucks, forklifts, cranes, and other equipment to move freight
- Perform and report cycle counts
- Comply with all warehouse safety rules and guidelines
Qualifications:
Minimum:
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid Driver’s License
- 3+ years of experience working in a warehouse setting or in logistics
- 3+ years’ experience with ERP systems
- 3+ years’ of Shipping and Receiving experience
- 3+ years’ of forklift experience
- Epicor experience a plus
- Excellent organizational and planning skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the proven ability to work well with all levels of management and staff.
- Proficient with inventory reporting systems.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
- Strong attention to detail
Working Environment and Physical Demands:
- Work performed in shop environment.
- Work performed in office environment.
- Lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment, such as hoist, positioners, pallet jacks, fork trucks, etc
- Exposure to shop environment such as noise, dust, odors and fumes

Training Requirements:
- General Safety
- ISO 9001
- Applicable FOP’s

- Lock out tag out training
Personal Protective Equipment:

- May require other PPE, such as gloves, goggles, shields, aprons, etc, while performing specific tasks
