Job Description
The Shipping and Receiving Coordinator verifies and inputs records on all incoming and outgoing inventory to ensure accurate and timely distribution to technicians, customers, and stocking locations. Coordinator will package orders or stage them for customer pickup, process shipping documentation, and facilitate record keeping on all transactions. This coordinator is also responsible for making pickup and deliveries in a company vehicle and tracking maintenance on that vehicle.
Responsibilities
- Verify and record all incoming parts into internal system in a timely fashion.
- Package and ship all outgoing sales orders and vendor returns.
- Distribute all received parts to appropriate locations for open work orders.
- Locate stock parts into assigned locations or assign new locations for parts not previously stocked.
- Maintain a clean and organized Shipping and Receiving area within the parts department.
- Pick up and deliver parts to and from local vendors and customers as needed.
- Track maintenance on delivery pickup truck.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to safely move and deliver large items.
- Assist in conducting parts inventory on an annual basis.
- Any and all additional duties assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Knowledge of UPS, FedEx, and other shipping platforms.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- High degree of typing accuracy.
Work Environment
- Shared temperature-controlled office space.
- Industrial shop exposure on a daily basis.
- Extensive local travel in company truck to deliver and pick up goods.
- Weekends as needed.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs, at times, more.
- May be required to work in the elements - heat, cold, rain, snow.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Extensive walking.
- Sitting at a computer terminal for extended periods of time.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
