Job Title: Shipping & Receiving Coordinator

Summary: The shipping and receiving coordinator position verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment by performing the following duties to quality and productivity standards.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Operates lift trucks or hand trucks to convey, move or hoist materials to proper departments or areas.
2. Operates the stretch wrap banders.
3. Unpacks, examines, and routes incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages. Receives and processes all defective parts returned for replacement or credit.
4. Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
5. Performs all computer functions necessary to track various aspects of goods.
6. Supports the shipment of goods produced and the received goods and supplies to be used in or to aid in the production/storage of goods destined for sale to our customer base.
7. Provide weights, dimensions, and quantities to appropriate department to facilitate arrangements for outbound shipments.
8. Responsible for ensuring shipments are properly packed and all associated documentation is present for outbound shipments.
9. Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
10. Responsible for keeping an adequate supply of shipping materials on hand at all times.
11. Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
12. Update RECEIVING LOG and distribute via email to necessary departments.
13. Pull parts for jobs in progress and generate SHORTAGE REPORT. Provide SHORTAGE REPORT to appropriate departments.

Education/Experience:
1. Minimum 1.0 Year or more experience in Shipping & Receiving or applicable position.
2. Minimum of a high school education and one year of relevant experience.
3. Ability to read and write English, follow verbal instructions, and use simple math.
4. A valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
5. Licensed forklift truck operator – PREFERABLE BUT NOT REQUIRED

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., 40 hours per week.
Pay Rate:
$24.00 PER HOUR STARTING CONTINGENT UPON SKILL LEVEL
OPPORTUNITY FOR OVERTIME HOURS / PAY
