Description
JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for pulling, packing and processing orders for shipping out via parcel carrier or Truck AND RECEIVING products and supplies. Required to support inventory functions including stocking, cycle counting, and physical inventory. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties will be assigned by Plant Manager as required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Shipping
•Pull & ship products to meet domestic and international customer orders in a timely and economical fashion and according to written procedures.
•Complete documents for international shipments.
•Must be able to use computer to manage ship/receive and inventory functions.
•Assist in training other employees to assist in the picking and shipping function.
•Assist in training other employees in how to pack and ship products.
•Identify process improvements that will lead to greater efficiencies in the shipping operations.
Receiving
•Unload shipment from carrier and ensure that the shipment reconciles with proper paperwork.
•Process received shipments according to written procedures.
•Identify process improvements that will lead to greater efficiencies in the receiving operations.
•Provide input to the Purchasing/Materials supervisor on ways to improve the warehouse to be more economical to pick and ship from.
Inventory Control
•Monitor inventory levels and advises Purchasing/Materials supervisor of low inventories of product.
•Organize storage of products to facilitate efficient picking of product for shipping customer shipments.
•Ensure finished products are properly stored according to product label and inventory control procedures.
•Work with all employees to maintain a clean and orderly-warehousing environment.
•Perform cycle counts when requested.
•Assist with physical inventory.

Position Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience using computer and WMS and UPS/FedEx software.
- Able to use MS Office products.
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds, stand, kneel, stoop for packaging of shipments.
- Ability to interface with management regarding duties and future development of department.
- Minimal experience with SHIPPING AND operating a pallet jack.
