Shipping/Receiving Clerk

Essential Functions:

• Assists in managingthe shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies.
• Collaborates with logistics technicians, customer service representatives, service providers, and others involved in the shipment and receipt of products.
• Tracks, traces, and updates the status of incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Maintains a clean, neat, and member-ready area.
• Promptly unloads trucks and deliveries and sorts and stocks receivables.
• Assists in maintainingan accurate log sheet of daily moves, scanning inventory, and counting accurately.
• Assists inengagingwith vendors and drivers with a positive attitude.
• Provides backup support for shipping and receiving departments.

Education & Experience Qualifications:

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• 6 months logistics, retail, or customer service experience
• Proficient computer skills
• 3+ years of Warehouse/Shipping Supervisory Experience
• Experience in freight shipments
• Stand, stoop, bend, squat, pick, place, and lift up to 50lbs. through the shift.
• Well versed in Fed EX & UPS software.
• Must be a proactive leader with a strong sense of initiative.

Physical Requirements:

• Standing, sitting, walking, bending as needed.
• Hearing and vision required to be within normal ranges with or without correction.
• Using proper lifting technique may be required to lift objects up to 30 lbs.
• Required to operate traditional office equipment including computers, copiers, fax machines and telephones.
