Sheet Metal Apprentice

Responsibilities:

Applicants must reside and have had residence for at least three (3) months prior to Application, in the area over which the Committee has jurisdiction. No Exceptions.

• 218S Jurisdiction encompasses the following Illinois counties: Brown, Cass, Logan, Mason, Menard, Morgan, Sangamon, Schuyler, and Scott

- Install, repair, and maintain Sheet Metal components and systems in commercial and industrial settings
- Fabricate and assemble Sheet Metal products according to specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine layout and installation procedures
- Measure, cut, shape, and bend Sheet Metal using hand tools and power equipment
- Install ductwork, vents, and HVAC systems
- Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete projects on time and within budget
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times

Experience:

High school Diploma or GED req.

Driver's License req.

Job Types: Full-time, Internship

Pay: $19.27 - $43.69 per hour
