Sheet Metal Fabricator- 1st Shift
Shift: Monday –Friday (1st Shift)
Overtime: As needed
Pay rate $17.25

Our client has been a leading architectural lighting manufacturer in the Chicago area for 25 years. Due to major growth, we are currently searching for dedicated Sheet Metal Fabricators candidates who can work under direct supervision, and perform several manual activities (Grinder/Riveter/Aluminum Extrusions) to fabricate parts for lighting fixtures according to customer specifications.
Sheet Metal Fabricator Will Perform:
- Performs a series of activities to fabricate lighting fixtures including grinding of metal parts, spot welding, drilling and tapping operations and cutting parts of metal sheets
- Responsible for verifying the quality of the fixtures at any point in the process
- Cross trains with other fabricators
- Rotates to different workstations as assigned (mandatory 2-hour rotation)
Sheet Metal Fabricator Skills and Experience:
- Ability to progress into more complex machinery. Industrial Experience in metal sheets is a plus
- High attention to detail and High Sense Of Teamwork
- Customer – Focused with a sense of urgency
- Capable of reading and understanding blueprints and instructions
- Classifications are, grinder, riveter, assembler, saw cutting, drilling, and grinding for aluminum extrusions
