Fabrication Shop Manager (TIG welding exp. req.) Description
Our client is seeking a Fabrication Shop Manager to add to their team near Kenosha, Wisconsin. As the Shop Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing daily operations, optimizing production processes, and ensuring the delivery of top-notch products to clients. You will spend 60% of your time on the floor with the team engaging in training and hands-on fabrication projects. The remainder of your time will be spent building out processes and procedures to ensure operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in large weld Sheet Metal Fabrication and demonstrate effective leadership skills through a “lead by example” mindset. Fabrication Shop Manager (TIG welding exp. req.) Responsibilities
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Sheet Metal shop
• Provide strategic direction and leadership to the fabrication team (18)
• Optimize production processes
• Enhance efficiency, quality, and on-time delivery
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations
• Manage resources efficiently, including materials, equipment, and manpower
• Communicate with clients to understand project requirements and specifications
• Maintain accurate project
• Oversee the repair of equipment
Fabrication Shop Manager (TIG welding exp. req.) Qualifications
• 2+ years of supervisory or team lead experience in Sheet Metal Fabrication required
• Strong technical knowledge of metal weld (TIG) processes and equipment required
• Ability to interpret and read blueprints required
• Basic Microsoft Office proficiency required
