Provide coordination for all necessary customer service/support functions for the Service Organization customers. An emphasis will be placed on the telephone contact, answering customer inquiries, providing replacement part information directly to customer, sales/Mfg. Reps; reviewing and entering orders and expediting repair/parts shipments.
A Day In The Life
Customer Service:
- Answer customer inquiries (verbal, fax, internet or other);
- Issue Return Authorization (RA) numbers for equipment returns;
- Contact customers with C.O.D. charges for completed repairs;
- Provide answers to service and product-related questions or redirect as appropriate;
- Provide service order status.
- Process customer orders, checking terms and conditions and assigning appropriate commissioning terms/Representatives.
- Research customer problem/complaints
Equipment Repair:
- Work with Service Managers to resolve customer issues or complaints for customer credit.
- Release completed repair orders for shipment.
- Unpack and check-in of repairs, verify part numbers and quantities, and prepare for processing.
General:
- Enter field service orders in order entry system and release orders for invoicing (upon
- completion);
- Perform order revisions as required
- Perform other duties as required
What will help you thrive in this role?
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent verbal/written communication and telephone skills
- At least 2 years customer service experience within the company or previous position where multiple, simultaneous tasks were involved and self-adjustment of priorities were demonstrated.
- Ability to lift 30 lbs.
- Working knowledge of PC's and problem solving abilities.
- Minimum typing speed of 45 wpm
