Communication skills, phone skills, basic knowledge of Microsoft, & Excel program. Strong people skills are essential. Arrange for back-up attendant care. Fill shifts when back-up care is unavailable. Inform supervisor of problems relating to employed attendants and consumers. Record reasons for attendant call-offs or refusing work. Verify hours worked by attendants. Pre-billing, and compliance. Responsible for pre-employment screening of potential attendants prior to meeting the consumer. Maintain weekly communication and documentation to meet consumer needs. Visit consumers on a quarterly basis to maintain proper documentation and regulate optimum care. Arrange and provide training to attendants of duties listed in individual service plans, Independent Living philosophy, and paperwork related to job duties.
