Position: Service Coordinator
Home Instead® is looking for a steady multi-tasker to join us in our mission to enhance the lives of aging adults and their families. The Service Coordinator is expected to perform various duties in coordinating client scheduling services. The Service Coordinator is responsible for scheduling clients and Care Pros to provide the highest quality service to clients, emphasizing creating extraordinary relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming calls in a friendly, professional, and knowledgeable manner.
- Create and maintain client and Care Professional schedules, emphasizing creating high-quality matches and developing extraordinary relationships.
- Ensure accurate client schedules and monitor authorized hours to prevent exceeding limits.
- Demonstrate open and effective communication with the franchise owner, colleagues, Care Professionals, clients, and family members.
- Communicate staffing needs and attendance policy concerns with the Recruitment & Engagement Coordinator.
- Manage canceled shifts and Care Pro availability and communicate changes to clients.
- Document and manage Care Pro requests for time off.
- Enter Care Pro's desired hours into Wellsky and use the caregiver utilization tool for even distribution.
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Field service inquiries over the phone and enter information into the software system.
- Assist in resolving Care Pro and client issues through follow-up and communication.
- Share on-call rotation as scheduled.
- Participate in Care Pro meetings as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school graduation or the equivalent
- One year of related business experience or equivalent education and work experience may be considered.
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- Must have a winning attitude, excellent work ethic, and enjoy a team environment
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Must have an understanding of and uphold the policies and procedures established by S-6 Senior Services, LLC, (d.b.a. an independently owned and operated Home Instead franchise)
- Must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to listen effectively
- Must have the ability to be reliable, work independently, maintain confidentiality of information, and meet deadlines
- Must demonstrate practical interpersonal skills as well as sound judgment and good decision-making skills
- Must demonstrate discretion, integrity, and fair-mindedness consistent with company standards, practices, policies, and procedures
- Must have the ability to establish good working relationships with the franchise owner, office colleagues, clients, and Care Professionals
- Must have the ability to sit at a desk and listen effectively for long periods on the telephone
- Must present a professional appearance and demeanor
- Must have computer skills and be proficient in Word and Excel
- Must have the ability to perform duties in a professional office setting
