Server/Waiter

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Server/Waiter to join our team at our Chinese restaurant in Northridge. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional guest service and ensuring an enjoyable dining experience for our customers. If you have a passion for the culinary industry and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you. Pay is $16 per hour plus tips.

Responsibilities:
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Take food and drink orders accurately and efficiently with customer and input into POS
- Provide menu recommendations and answer any questions about the menu
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely manner
- Ensure guest satisfaction by checking on tables regularly and addressing any concerns or requests
- Process payments and handle cash transactions accurately
- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure smooth service and timely delivery of food
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area

- refill whatever is needed in waiter stations, cleaning tables, help pack, and willingness to take on other needed tasks

Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a restaurant or similar hospitality setting is preferred
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to provide exceptional guest experiences
- Basic math skills for handling payments and making change
- Familiarity with reservation systems such as OpenTable is a plus
- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with kitchen staff
- Knowledge of culinary terms and dishes is beneficial

Please note that this position may require standing for long periods of time and lifting trays or heavy items.
