Job Duties and Responsibilities
TheSEO/ASO Marketing Lead will lead SEO and ASO efforts across Sling TV and DISH, collectively known as our Pay TV business unit. You will be a key member of the Video Services Marketing Team and will work with cross-functional teams to rank our product and content in various search engines across the web. To do this, you will lead our on-page SEO activities such as developing our content strategy, conducting keyword research, and implementing metadata to increase rankings and SERP ownership across all major search engines & app stores.
In this role, you will join a high-performing team and work closely with web partners to optimize title tags, internal links, meta descriptions, topic content, and semantic HTML conducive with SEO growth. You will partner with our SEO blog content team & partner device teams to research and ensure we target the right keywords for the right audience on our blog, landing pages, and app store environments. In this role, you will work directly with various departments in acquisition and media across Sling TV and DISH to develop & evangelize our SEO/ASO strategy, monitor and report on the performance of our site’s natural search marketing channel, and ensure our continued organic growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in, and take ownership of projects that aid Sling TV and DISH search engine discoverability
- Optimize copy and landing pages for search engine marketing
- Perform ongoing keyword research for sling.com and dish.com including discovery, expansion, and optimization utilizing enterprise software
- Research and implement content recommendations for search engine optimization and app store optimization
- Work with marketing, web operations, and media teams to ensure optimal copy and content on destinations for media, making recommendations on how to improve the experience and be a voice for organic channels
- Research and analyze competitors
- Develop and implement link-building strategies
- Work with editorial and marketing teams to drive SEO in content creation and content programming
- Partner closely with our creative team to request, ideate, and give feedback on creative assets needed to support site goals
- Understand where and how traffic is being driven to our site and how to deliver a seamless, conversion-driven experience on-site
- Analyze and report on-site metrics, using insights to identify opportunities and chase them down
Skills, Experience and Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year university or equivalent combination of education and experience
Skills and Requirements:
- 4 years or equivalent experience in any of eCommerce, marketing, web development, or web content management OR 1-2 years direct experience in SEO for a high-traffic domain
- In-depth experience with website analytics tools (e.g, Google Analytics, NetInsight, Omniture, WebTrends)
- Adept at handling multiple competing priorities and duties in a fast-paced, results-driven, changing environment, with minimal daily oversight
- An insatiable hunger to learn and be the best at what you do
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; proven ability to communicate effectively and influence all levels of staff
- Solid understanding of effective marketing
- Strong customer and employee orientation
- Ability to travel 20% of the time and work from an office in/around Denver
A plus:
- A weird/nerdy obsession with Google search and its inner workings
- Ability to think big picture and tie those philosophies to your everyday search engine optimization activities
- Experience with web analytics tools and reporting
- Any web/front-end development experience or CMS management
- Any big data experience or functional knowledge of SQL, R, or NumPy
- Any experience with AWS or cloud data environments
- Mobile marketing experience
- Experience with A/B and multivariate experiments
- Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in SEO

Salary Ranges
Compensation: $72,350.00/Year - $103,400.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location. Candidates need to successfully complete a pre-employment screen, which may include a drug test and DMV check.
