We are seeking an experienced Senior Staff Accountant to join our team. This is a remote position reporting to our Fort Lauderdale office. As a Staff Accountant at Princess Cruise Lines you’ll be responsible for overseeing our Pre and Post Revenue accounts and ensuring timely and accurate reporting. This position is for a highly motivated individual primarily responsible for understanding the company’s accounting processes impacting our cruise and other Revenue accounts, including but not limited to our Customer Deposits and our Pre and Post cruise transactions. This includes analyzing and deciphering finance/accounting data to accurately review the department’s reporting obligations, identifying problems, and developing innovative solutions to further efforts toward continuous process improvements.

Responsibilities
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis
- Maintain the General Ledger reports and interfaces from subledger.
- Prepare timely and accurate financial information for from information contained within Polar reservation and invoicing systems
- Assist Manager with various duties including but not limited to training new employees, ad hoc analysis and projects, improving procedures, and month end close duties
- Prepare journal entries on a monthly basis
- Independently provide ad hoc analyses to operating departments and management as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (In Progress) or 5 years equivalent experience
- Advanced Proficiency in Excel to organize and interpret data, including formulas
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, including presentations
- Ability to work in fast paced environment and meet critical deadlines
- Self-starter with the ability to work both independently and on a team
- Flexible regarding peak-time work requirements
- Ability to work well with individuals at all levels
- Experience in travel, hospitality or the cruise industry highly preferred

- Base Salary Range: $66,600-$89,900. The range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. Final base pay is directly related to each candidates' qualifications and experience uniquely.
