The Impact You Will Make
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for balance sheet reconciliations, journal entry preparation and account analysis. This position will report to and assist the Director, Accounting and will be based out of our Support Center in Florida.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare and record monthly journal entries adhering to internal deadlines.
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations ensuring the accuracy of the balance sheet accounts and investigating reconciling differences.
  • Review current processes to identify process improvements and suggestions for implementation strategies.
  • Prepare P&L account analytics as requested and research identified anomalies.
  • Assist in preparing quarterly reporting schedules and disclosures.
  • Assist in annual audit requests as needed.
  • Maintain appropriate support for P&L account analyses and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Other projects and reconciliations as assigned.

Requirements
Education and/or Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
  • 3+ years of experience in general accounting or public accounting.
  • Working knowledge of GAAP.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate and high-quality work.
  • Sound analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills with an ability to work across all levels in the organization.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive information.

Work Environment:
  • On-site (Support Center, M-F required).
  • While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time; stand and walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear.
  • This position operates in a professional office environment which may be noisy or disruptive at times.
  • The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and fax machines.
