Public accounting background is preferred, however not essential. The most important piece of this job is someone who wants to keep learning and growing!
Responsibilities
- Assist in the financial reporting cycle for a wide range of activities related to month-end close in a worldwide operation
- Perform GL account reconciliations and assist with monthly B/S and PL variance analysis
- Prepare complex journal entries requiring judgement and analysis
- Manage monthly and quarterly loan interest payment with AP team and book interest expense entries
- Assist in the preparation of the monthly financial reporting package required by the bank covenant
- Build the relationship with foreign entity accounting firm and coordinate with monthly financial package and work with staff accountant to record entry and tie out the results
- Assist with preparation of support needed by external tax accountant for tax provision and tax returns
- Train and mentor staff accountant
- Further cycle time reduction via streamlining workflow, automation & elimination of nonessential activities
- Active participation in managing the annual financial audit and 401K audit, prepare audit schedules and analysis
- New systems implementation
- Other accounting, budget and operational projects as assigned, including M&A reporting integration
About You....
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related fields is required
- CPA is preferred
- 3+ years of account experience inclusive of public accounting firm experience, Big Four preferred
