We are looking for a mid to Senior level Accountant. This role will be based in Woodland Hills, CA. It is a full-time, in-office position. Expected hours are 8 AM - 5 PM. A remote or hybrid position is not available.

Base Pay Range: Depending on experience level – 75K to 85K Annual Salary or $25-$35 Hourly

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Accountant who will excel in a fast-paced and dynamic environment to assist with the accounting, financial management, and strategic planning functions at Legal Soft. As the Accountant, you will be responsible for working on timely monthly close of the General Ledger, consolidations, reporting of financial results, coordination of audits, and development of internal controls. This position includes responsibility for mentoring and developing a team. The Accountant reports to the Controller and/or President.

Responsibilities:

1. Work on all aspects of accounting, including billing, financial statements, general ledger, cost accounting, set-up of chart of accounts, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, tax compliance, and revenue recognition. 2. Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures in accordance with GAAP.

3. Assist in leading the monthly close and financial reporting process for management.

4. Ensures financial accounts are properly supported and reconciled. This includes completing reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts in preparation for audit.

5. Manage the annual budgeting and forecasting process and analyze variances against actual results. 6. Perform financial analysis and modeling to support strategic decision-making.

7. Monitor key financial indicators and metrics, cash flow forecasting and analysis, and providing regular reports to the executive team and stakeholders. 8. Collaborate with department heads to develop and monitor departmental budgets, ensuring alignment with overall financial goals. 9. Provide financial guidance and support for business development initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions, partnerships, and investments.

10. Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and other financial service providers. This also includes regulatory compliance.

11. Drive process improvements within the accounting/finance department and across the organization.

12. Works for the creation and monitoring of internal controls, including adherence to the Company’s financial policies and processes.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. MBA or CPA designation is highly desirable. 2. 5+ years’ experience as a Controller, Assistant Controller, or Senior Accounting Manager.

3. Excellent knowledge of US GAAP, accounting standards, financial analysis, and financial reporting principals. 4. Skilled with accounting software and MS Office, including advanced Excel and ERP skills. Legal Soft is currently on Quickbooks, so experience with this software is a plus. 5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights. 6. Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting. 7. Experience in managing financial operations, including budgeting, financial reporting, and cash flow management. 8. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders. 9. Strong communication, leadership, and team management abilities, with a track record of developing and mentoring accounting/finance professionals. 10. Experience in the professional services industry, virtual staffing, or related field is a plus
