Summary of Position
Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Senior HR Operations Specialist will support the VP of Human Resources and the HR team in establishing and executing well-engineered and documented business processes, improving analytics and reporting, and optimization of HR systems. The Specialist will serve as the subject matter expert and primary administrator for HR systems, processes, and reporting with a focus on continuous improvement, data integrity, timeliness, reliability, and documentation.
Essential Duties
- Benefits Administration: Employee issue resolution, leave of absence and advice-to-pay processing, weekly maintenance of HR benefits system, project management for annual enrollment including system configuration and testing, benefits records management, and monthly billing reconciliations.
- HR Analytics, Reporting and Compliance: Preparation/ maintenance of HR reports including workforce plan, HR flash report, safety report, OSHA 300 logs, annual EEO-1, food safety and safety training report, turnover/ retention report, and attendance report.
- Payroll Administration: Weekly time and attendance processing for payroll.
- Systems Administration: System optimization and maintenance for Paylocity, Bswift, Kronos, Alchemy, Yourco, and Company access control systems.
- HR Processes: Collaboration with HR team on evaluation, streamlining and improvement of all HR processes. Execute critical administrative components for on-boarding, off boarding, benefits, leave of absence, compensation, payroll, and training.
- Records Management: Oversee major overhaul/ re-organization of HR electronic records repository. Maintenance of all critical HR records.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, or combination of education and significant experience.
- 7+ years of technical administrative experience in mid-size to large companies in payroll, benefits, or HR analytics.
- Fluent in MS Suite. High intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel to assist in creation, maintenance, and analysis of reports (formulas, VLOOKUP, pivot table, formatting)
- Demonstrated and substantial experience with HR systems.
- Exceptional organizational/ administrative skills.
- A warm personality; upbeat, friendly, approachable, and steady under pressure.
- Someone who enjoys detail-oriented, analytical and administrative work.
- Polished written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred/ Helpful
- Bi-lingual, read/write fluency in English and Spanish.
- Manufacturing experience supporting multiple shifts.
- Prior experience with Paylocity, Kronos, Alchemy.
- A self-starter with a strong work ethic and desire to improve things.
- Honest and highly ethical.
