Job description

Job Summary:
The Senior Analyst, HR Portfolio Analytics is responsible for partnering with program teams and Walgreens HR Business Partners to provide HR data analytics and insights. Serves as point of contact for HR trend analysis and reporting for Walgreens functions in relation to HR activity. Proactively identifies areas of opportunity to enable HR Business Partners to align HR strategies with business needs and concerns. Conducts HR data analysis on a broad departmental, divisional, and/or company-wide basis.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for providing complex data analysis, reporting, metrics, and insights to support the HR Portfolio analytics and business needs.
  • Provides data on trends, benchmarking, predictive modeling, and costing to HR users in a simplistic form.
  • Reviews and complies HR data from multiple sources, to ensure data integrity, consistency, best practices, and usefulness to align with business needs.
  • Performs data quality checks using advanced knowledge of HR data to identify data anomalies proactively prior to delivering data to end users. Resolves data integrity issues and escalates problems outside are of expertise.
  • Proactively identifies areas of opportunity to enable HR Business Partners to align strategies with business needs and concerns.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert regarding data for HR Portfolio Analytics.
  • Assists with reporting for HR community and business leaders, as needed.
  • Coordinates processes for organizing and disseminating HR data.
  • Provides analytical support, data gathering, and reporting for complex aspects of projects related to HR Portfolio analytics. Makes recommendations for programs in support of HR community and business needs.
  • Responsible for working with highly sensitive and confidential information and maintaining the confidentiality of the information used during the normal course of business.
  • Ensures all reporting is maintained according to privacy, confidentiality, and compliance standards.
  • Analyzes and challenges work methods and functionality to determine/recommend process improvements and better results.
  • May provide counsel to HR Business Partners regarding data and insights.
  • May participate in cross-functional teams and provide recommendations for HR Portfolio analytics.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree and at least 1 year of experience in Human Resources and/or an HRIS function OR High School Diploma/GED and at least 4 years of experience in Human Resources and/or an HRIS function
  • Experience with analyzing and reporting data in order to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions.
  • Knowledge of HR metrics (e.g., turnover, headcount, etc.)
  • Experience working with confidentiality requirements associated with the practice of Human Resources.
  • Willing to travel up to/at least 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience identifying operational issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems.
  • Experience in HR predictive analytics and insights.
  • Knowledge of HRIS systems and reporting.
  • Knowledge of basic financial principles to support cost modeling.
  • Intermediate level skill in Microsoft PowerPoint (for example: applying a theme, formatting character spacing, inserting a picture, changing slide layout and theme colors, adding transitions, customizing slide numbers, changing chart style and/or formatting font).
  • Advanced level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: using AVERAGE function, merging and centering cells, printing centered page and/or creating a pivot table).
  • Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Word (for example: inserting headers, page breaks, page numbers and tables and/or adjusting table columns).
