The Senior Manager, HR Business Partner will play a critical role in delivering the HR strategy across our corporate functions.  This individual will be responsible for strategic and operational support to leaders across their assigned business units in areas such as performance management, coaching/training of people leaders, new hire on-boarding, employee relations, career development and succession planning, teammate recognition, and engagement.  This role will support and/or lead several key projects and will work closely with managers and stakeholders to ensure they have the skills and capability to deliver and manage change while supporting HR initiatives that help them achieve their business objectives.

  2. Be accountable for human capital results in your business units in the areas of employee relations, talent retention, engagement, performance management, workforce planning and career development.
  3. Create a best-in-class new hire onboarding program by partnering with leaders and HR partners to deliver a positive and effective new hire experience.
  4. Counsel people leaders within assigned business units regarding company policy, procedures, and workplace issues. Provide coaching and resolution regarding all employee relations issues within your business units.
  5. Use data to identify and analyze trends and formulate recommendations to improve processes or plans that address talent issues within your business units (i.e., proactive training, on-boarding, retention strategies, career development, etc.).
  6. Help drive succession planning by identifying high potential talent and engaging in assessment, development, and ongoing support, particularly for those on a leadership track.
  7. Provide counsel to leaders regarding local/federal employment law and legislation changes.  Support roll-out of compliance initiatives.
  8. Works closely with leaders on effective workforce planning, recruitment and selection methods, pipeline development, interviewing methodologies, and hiring processes. Actively identify internal talent to fill openings as a means for development.
  9. Support due diligence, integration, and the HR playbook for any future acquisitions to support our growth strategy.
  10. Effectively lead change by coordinating with HR and internal stakeholders to align on projects, change management plans, communication messages, and related efforts for effective deployment.

Other Skills We Hope to See:

  • Eight or more years’ experience in HR
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, business or related field
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • PHR or SPHR, MBTI/DISC or PROSCI certifications a plus
  • Advanced knowledge of country/state employment laws and workers compensation/safety protocols.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the confidence to present, influence, and collaborate at the leadership level
  • Strong analytical skills to think strategically, analyze business data that tells a story, and develop holistic HR solutions to address talent gaps
  • Demonstrated ability to drive HR processes and to deliver high quality projects in a growing environment
  • Have an eye for spotting talent and understanding trends within human capital/workplace design
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel (formulas, pivot tables, vlookups) and PowerPoint
  • Experience working with applicant tracking, LMS and HR systems preferable
  • This role will require limited travel 10-20% of your time to support your assigned business units

In addition to your base compensation, you may be eligible for a bonus based on achievement of business and/or individual performance metrics (dependent on position).
