Who You Are  
Interested in being involved in and mentoring team members in every critical function of HR? 

Vail Systems is seeking a Senior HR Generalist to create a positive candidate and employee experience by ensuring legal compliance and developing a people-centered and high-performing work culture. You would design, recommend, and administer benefit and payroll programs and policies to attract, retain, and motivate employees. You would also serve as the subject matter expert and administrator for the HRIS/HCM while maintaining a working knowledge of current employment regulatory requirements.  

You would provide support and guidance and fulfill a variety of key HR generalist roles, including learning & development, employee relations, recruitment, performance development, employment laws and compliance, DEI initiatives, organizational development, and workforce management. You
would also develop strategy with the leadership team and facilitate and communicate organizational policies and programs company wide.

What You'll Do:
    • Assist with the oversight and management of day-to-day team member projects.  
    • Oversee employment law compliance, including ensuring effective communication and education on relevant employment laws and recommendations, development, and facilitation of internal audits, and assisting with review and communication on potential legal concerns. 
    • Provide support through knowledge of payroll compliance and market competitive benefits. 
    • Lead an employee engagement committee and execute engagement events and initiatives.  
    • Lead employee communications including collaborating with marketing and content specialists. 
    • Advisor of the Safety Committee. 
    • Provide improvement insights for effective and updated recruiting strategies.  
    • Collaborate with HR and Accounting on compensation processes and practices, including the annual review cycle, bonuses, and off-cycle salary adjustments and promotions.  
    • Provide support for larger initiatives, including performance management, leadership development, training, etc.  
    • Provide support, assistance, and guidance across all HR disciplines to team members. 
    • Participate in special projects related to the development and implementation of organizational HR business strategies. 
    • Co-manage the HRIS/HCM system, Paylocity, and provide backup payroll support as needed. 
    • Manage employee relations issues and escalate to senior management as needed. 
    • Coordinate and maintain relationships with vendors or other third-party entities. 
    • Streamline department processes, policies, and procedures.

    • A Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field. 
    • 5-7+ years of experience in an HR Generalist role.  
    • Possess a good understanding of general business principles, and a working knowledge of HR practices and procedures.  
    • Experience with onboarding and offboarding.  
    • Experience withemployee relations. 
    • Knowledge of employment laws.  
    • Experience with an HRIS such as Paylocity and other HR tools.  
    • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.  
    • Experience mentoring or managing junior team member,preferred.  
    • Experience working in a technical environment, preferred.
