Job Description
Seeking a high-energy, detailed oriented Senior HR Generalist who will partner with managers and employees at various levels to provide HR support and solutions while focusing on recruitment, employee onboarding, and employee relations for our two Chicago locations.
General Responsibilities Include:
- Full life cycle recruitment for non-exempt and exempt positions.
- Support all functions and processes related to on-boarding and off-boarding of employees including background checks, drug screening, employment verifications, new hire orientations, exit interviews, etc.
- Manages sensitive and confidential matters pertaining to employee relations timely and consistently.
- Consult/coach supervisors as they handle performance issues and talent development needs.
- Directly manage employee relations issues including investigations and recommendations.
- Assist with benefits administration including enrollments and terminations for medical, dental, vision, COBRA, 401(k), and commuter benefit programs.
- Process monthly billings from insurance providers; review billings for accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
- HR database management including data entry and maintaining accurate record keeping.
- Monthly reporting
- Handle workers compensation and safety regulations process.
- Coordinate the administration of all Leave of Absence programs.
- Respond to reference checks, verifications of employment status, and unemployment claims.
- Provide appropriate communications and promotes employee understanding of programs, policies, and objectives.
- Maintain employee confidence and have the ability to keep HR information confidential.
- Assist HR Director with various special projects as needed.
- Strong writing and research skills required.
- Ability to multi-task and set priorities to meet job expectations.
- Experience with Paycom a plus.
- College degree preferred and/or 5 years in an HR-related position.
- Knowledge and application of current HR trends, best practices and compliance issues.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $75,000-$80,000 per year DOE
