  1. SUMMARY

Direct the activities for the Human Resources and Facilities teams. Provide broad strategic Human Resources consulting to leaders of the agency, advise and implement proactive people strategies that support mission, goals, and Core Values while also ensuring Human Resources compliance. Collaborate as needed to identify leadership, management, and employee needs, and implement strategies to support those needs across the organization. Successfully lead the implementation of various programs - including but not limited to leadership continuity, performance management, talent development, employee advocacy programs and processes, and total rewards and wellness programs. Partner with the Programs and Dir, Admissions & Training on learning and development programs inclusive of mandatory training; compliance and leading training as facilitator or subject matter expert. Provide front line direction, guidance and support for leadership and management within the agency around organization initiatives, employee relations issues, compliance and workforce planning.

  1. 3. PERSONALLY PERFORMED DUTIES

  • Leads elements of special projects as required that help drive business alignment and results
  • Serve as key point of contact for the agency and provide first contact resolution related to HR initiatives, performance and operational needs
  • Identify agency needs to develop various HR initiatives to improve the culture and enhance engagement
  • Guide, manage, and ensure consistency of HR practices through coaching and development of managers
  • Performs projects, research, and deliverables independently with minimal guidance and support from the CHRO
  • Partners with business on performance needs and gap analysis. Recommend and aid with providing solutions. Partner with management to effectively offer advice, counsel and recommendation to effectively lead their team based on HR best practices
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested
  • May need to work additional hours outside of normal business hours as required by the job
  • Occasional travel may be required to various facility locations

  1. 4. JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • 15+ years of experience in HR with 5-7 years in a generalist or business partner/consulting role

Education:
  • B.S. or B.A in HR, Business or related field or equivalent experience
  • PHR or SPHR certification preferred

Overall Related Experience:
  • Excellent partnering (relationship building) and consultative skills
  • Expert communication skills, including strong presentation capabilities
  • Effective interpersonally to be able to influence others and collaborate across multiple levels of leadership
  • Team player with ability to work with various stakeholders & levels of employees/executives

  • Must possess knowledge of management-employee relations and the principles, practices, and procedures of human resources management.

  • Must possess general knowledge of laws and regulations pertaining to human resources.
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Must possess strong organizational, project and time management skills.
  • Must possess the ability to supervise, lead and direct projects and team members.

  1. 7. PROBLEM SOLVING/DECISION MAKING

This position is expected to exercise a High level of discretion and independent judgment regarding decisions on critical issues, problem identification, problem solving, etc. There are policies and procedures to guide decision-making along with management support and leadership.
