The Senior HR Business Partner (HRBP) position is responsible for aligning the organization's objectives with employees and leaders in designated business units. The HRBP develops strong relationships with employees and leaders, empowering the leader and employee relationship to enhance the overall employee experience. In a fast-paced environment the HRBP translates organizational needs into business solutions, while working on the day-to day delivery of HR programs. The HRBP educates and influences others to drive the culture of the organization.
Essential Functions:
- Provide expert advice, strategic partnership and counsel to leaders on organization and human resources issues for assigned business units. Provides ongoing performance coaching and feedback to the organization's employees and leaders regarding issues of leadership style, communications, and employee and peer interactions.
- Promote HR best practices and foster collaboration across departments. Facilitate cross-functional groups working together to solve difficult and complex problems to accomplish business objectives.
- Partner with business leaders to evaluate workforce needs, optimal organizational design and talent strategies for assigned business units.
- Partner with business leaders and the talent acquisition team to ensure workforce needs are accurately assessed and identified for mergers, acquisitions and expanded services.
- Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Proactively work with employees and leaders to identify potential issues and/or trends in the workplace. Develop and deploy solutions for assigned business units.
- Coach leaders and managers to optimize high performing teams, addressing employee issues and driving accountability.
- Lead organizational effectiveness, organizational design/development, succession and workforce planning programs for assigned business units.
- Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with the HR team to help develop solutions, programs and policies that support business objectives and improve performance and efficiency.
- Assist in implementing broad-based human resources initiatives.

Job Requirements:
Education Required (Minimum level of education):
- BA/BS degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Management or other relevant degree or equivalent work experience in lieu of education
Certifications/Licenses Required:
- CA driver's license with appropriate insurance coverage
Certifications/Licenses Preferred:
- Professional Human Resources designation, such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR or SPHR
Experience Required (Minimum level of experience):
- A minimum of 5+ years of progressive Human Resources, consulting and influence experience. At least 3 of those years in a Senior HRBP level position is required.
- A broad understanding of HR services and employment law.
- Multi-tasking skills to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment.
- Solid critical thinking, analytical and quantitative skills. Possess the ability to articulate the complexity of business need and the capability to build/develop practical action plans based upon those needs.
- Excellent teaming, interpersonal, negotiation, and analytical skills are required. Must demonstrate the ability to quickly develop credibility with and influence all levels of employees and management alike.
- Broad organizational perspective, encompassing a thorough understanding of organization's goals, vision and culture.
- Strong project management skills, strong detail orientation, a demonstrated responsiveness to a high volume of customers, and exceptional interpersonal flexibility is required.
Experience preferred:
- Experience working in healthcare industry
Verbal and Written Skills Required to Perform the Job:
- Must have excellent English speaking and writing skills. Must be proficient in making group presentations.
Technical Knowledge and Skills Required to Perform the Job:
- Must be knowledgeable of State and Federal employment law.
Equipment Used (Computers, phones, vehicles, copy machines and fax machines etc.):
- Microsoft Office suite including, PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, and Excel. HR Information systems and basic reporting.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
- Office work and occasional travel required.
