Summary/Objective
The Senior Human Resources Business Partner fulfills a critical leadership role and will serve as a liaison between management, the human resources department, and employees to develop, enact, and monitor human resources initiatives and programs across business lines. This is a highly dynamic role, balancing direct oversight of HR activities and employee relations with the development and execution of long-term strategies to enhance the employee experience, business performance and profitability.
As the senior HR leader for the Pumps Business Unit and member of the management team, you will provide strategic and advisory support to the President and site leadership teams. You will be responsible for all Unit employees and HR practices globally. You will work collaboratively with the extended Group HR team on policy, program and initiative development and deployment and share a dotted line reporting relationship to the EVP, Human Resources.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities
  • Administer HR plans and procedures and maintain compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits laws and regulations.
  • Consult regularly with management and provide advice and guidance when appropriate.
  • Participate in job fairs and recruiting efforts to source great candidates locally.
  • Collaborate with departmental managers to understand current and future hiring needs. Utilize the applicant tracking system to open and manage all Unit requisitions and coordinate with recruiting team to fill the roles.
  • Oversee new employee orientation, including the creation of building access (if required) and setting up personal records and intranet access.
  • Identify learning needs, establish development plan, ensure compliance training is completed, and collaborate with L&D Leader on local initiatives and LMS development.
  • Lead the Unit's Talent Management Process to identify and develop key staff, build and execute succession plans, and establish strategies to fill gaps in the talent pipeline.
  • Support time & attendance tracking/reporting, partner with the Payroll Department to ensure accurate and compliant pay, understand benefit offerings to facilitate employee education, and act as a liaison between employees and SMEs.
  • Mediate and resolve employee relations issues, coach managers and employees on performance improvement, conduct thorough and objective investigations when necessary, and implement strategies to maximize employee retention.
  • Lead the performance management process including manager training, 100% completion, and follow up for performance improvement.
  • Provide leadership on effective communication strategies including meetings, coaching and information exchange.
  • Report and present regularly to executive management to assess the effectiveness of human resource initiatives and their impact on organizational objectives.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the human resources department on policy & program development and delivery, strategy development, site practices, system implementations and problem-solving.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position may supervise Unit HR and/or Administrative Staff and serve as a coach and mentor for managers or other Group HR team members.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably with emphasis in both human resources and business management.
  • At least 5 years' experience in human resources.
  • HR certification preferred, but not required.
  • Keen cultural awareness. International experience a plus.
  • Proven expertise in relationship management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, photocopiers and smartphones. Travel between Santa Ana and Las Vegas locations or for meeting attendance will be required.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.

Pay Range: $85,166 - $130,000
