Essential Functions:
- Assist in annual budget process, including providing training and supporting services to budget users, planning budget timeline, and monitoring progress in collaboration with department heads.
- Manage resident data in actuarial software and reconciling census data.
- Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, reports and audit requests related to Life Plan Communities’ entrance fee accounting. Reviewing resident entrance fee refund payment requests.
- Update demographic and financial data in actuarial software for annual evaluation of future service obligation and actuarial study.
- Prepare internal/external/regulatory reports and requests.
- Assist in financial planning and analysis projects.
- Ensure master price list is updated for entrance fee and monthly fee increases and unit mix is kept current.
- Maintain certain settings in the budget and reporting software.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
- CPA preferred
- 3-5 years demonstrated responsibility in the area of Accounting and Finance
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, budgeting techniques and financial reports
- Comfortable presenting to all levels of leadership
- Advanced Excel skills
