Smart ERC’s parent company, Pinnacle Minds Inc. has been established in California for the past 17 years. Smart ERC’s mission is to help thousands of small businesses get their Employee Retention Tax Credit (ERC) from the IRS. We offer a smarter way to get the credit, and we always maximize credits for our clients.
- Manage and oversee the ERC processing department, providing guidance and support to a team of 10+ direct report employees.
- Develop and implement efficient processes and procedures to ensure accurate and timely ERC claim processing.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest tax laws, regulations, and guidance related to ERC processing to ensure compliance and identify opportunities for clients.
- Collaborate with other departments, including the document collection team, to provide comprehensive support and advice on tax and ERC matters.
- Manage client relationships, ensuring satisfaction, addressing any concerns or issues that may arise, and providing support for complex inquiries.
- Review and approve ERC claims, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all applicable regulations and guidelines.
- Develop and deliver training and educational materials to staff to ensure a high-level of expertise and understanding of ERC processing.
- Provide strategic direction and leadership to the ERC processing team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Monitor and assess team performance, providing regular feedback and identifying areas for improvement and growth.
- Lead recruiting and training efforts for the ERC processing team to ensure a strong, knowledgeable workforce.
- Participate in business development activities, representing the company and its services to potential clients.
- Minimum of 10 years of Tax experience.
- Proven experience managing a team of 10+ direct report employees.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage client relationships.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant tax software required.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a CPA, EA, or advanced degree is required.
- Masters Degree strongly preferred.
