This is the target annual salary range for this role. This range is not inclusive of other additional compensation elements, such as our Bonus program, Equity program, Wellness allowance, and other benefits [US Only] (including medical, dental, vision and 401(k)).
The compensation range provided is influenced by various factors and represents the initial target range. Our salary offerings are dynamic and we strive to ensure that our base salary and total compensation package aligns and recognizes the top talent we aim to attract and retain. The compensation package of the successful candidate is based on various factors such as their skillset, experience, and job scope.

  • We design, manage and administer a US benefits program inclusive of immigration, health & wellness, 401(k), and time off and leave of absence for both US and Canada. We problem solve Krakenites requests for time away from work, insurance questions and claim issues, audit our benefits enrollment system and maintain the 401(k) plan and compliance.

The opportunity

  • Benefits System Administration - process enrollments and benefits terminations.
  • Assist with the ongoing maintenance and enhancements of the benefits enrollment process
  • Support Time Off & Leave Programs in US and Canada by answering Krakenite questions and overseeing the leave of absence process
  • Support Benefits renewals, vendor changes and compliance activities
  • Update & Improve employee-facing benefits communications & online content
  • Act as a point of escalation for employee benefits related enquiries
  • Create, maintain & update benefits operating procedure manuals to ensure processes are adhered to consistently
  • Streamline and optimize processes, proactively anticipate, and avoid issues whenever possible and ensure processes are compliant with local regulations
  • Communicate benefits programs to employees using presentations, written materials, and emails
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with global benefits team & other internal stakeholders
  • Ability to report, assess and analyze data to maintain, distribute, and communicate information
  • Provide education & support to HR Partners with regards to the benefit programs and practices
  • Participate in due diligence during the mergers and acquisitions process as required
  • Participate in benefits related projects or broader HR projects as a stakeholder
  • Manage and maintain vendor billing process
  • Audit contribution & loan files for 401(k), pre-tax savings accounts and HSA
  • Manage US Workers Compensation cases
  • Provide support for the US immigration program

Skills you should HODL

  • 7+ years of benefits experience, preferably in a similar role at a high tech, multinational company
  • Ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams and departments on multiple projects
  • Highly organized, operationally astute and data-oriented
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, attention to details and high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment
  • Willingness to embrace change, self-motivated and proactive learner
  • Exceptional customer service, written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with Workday (HRIS) and benefits enrollment portals
  • Excellent computer skills – advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Proficiency with workplace communication tools & other ticketing systems (Slack)
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in HR
  • Empathetic, emotionally intelligent, motivated and passionate
