Job Summary
The Senior Analyst, Bank Credit Management and Reporting, role is responsible for developing and maintaining bank reporting and ad hoc analysis, queries and reports, as it relates to Credit Management for the bank. Specifically, this role will produce monthly, quarterly and annual reporting for bank and enterprise leadership, bank and credit committees and the banks' board of directors. Includes responsibility for ongoing credit trend analysis, performance reporting and risk assessment trending and monitoring, and other ad-hoc analysis as needed. This position is also expected to independently complete the required data gathering, manipulation and analysis, for developing any new reporting, to aid in the monitoring of credit performance for the bank portfolios across the credit lifecycle, utilizing various sources of data and tools to perform this work. Additionally, the Senior Analyst, Bank Credit Management and Reporting, is responsible for other ad hoc analysis And Reporting as well as fulfilling requests for regulatory reviews and examinations.
Job Description
Essential Job Functions:
  • Data Skills - Manipulate large data sets into clear and readable formats and presentations, using tools such as SQL, SAS, Dataiku and Excel, as well as business intelligence tools such as MicroStrategy, Tableau or other platforms.
  • Analytical Skills- Independently analyzes data output to develop trend reporting at the bank, portfolio and client level, for various constituents and stakeholders, including the Bank Credit committee, board of directors and regulatory agencies. Conduct deep-dive analysis of key credit risk metrics to identify and explain variances in trends and drivers of specific results.
  • Reporting- Responsible for ensuring bank and transaction testing data And Reporting is accurate and timely on a scheduled cadence (i.e. monthly, quarterly). Accountable to perform any reconciliation or deep dive analysis on data anomalies or data inconsistencies. Independent ownership of micro strategy reporting, including creation of new reports and monitoring of existing reports.
  • Communication- Expertly advise and lead team on bank level credit trend reporting, monitoring and analysis. Perform ad-hoc analysis and communicates solutions to internal partners, bank leadership and regulatory agencies. Work cross functionally with other areas within the organization to ensure data And Reporting is accurate, complete and accessible.

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements:
  • Normal office environment.
  • Some travel may be required.
  • This position is hybrid with an onsite schedule of 3-4 days per month. In-office requirements are subject to change based on business needs. This position is currently available to candidates that reside within 60 miles of Draper, UT; Columbus, OH

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, math, economics, finance, statistics or related field; or equivalent experience in a similar field of work.
  • 5+ years of experience with SQL and SAS, performing complex data analysis, data manipulation, creation of reports, communication and presentation skills and banking experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience creating and maintaining complex data queries using SQL or SAS languages, in addition to building monitoring reports and trending analysis; creating and presenting information to senior leaders.
  • Banking and credit card portfolio knowledge and understanding of credit card operations.

Typical Starting Range:
$79,500.00 - $144,100.00
Full Salary Range for position:
California: $91,500.00 - $180,100.00
Colorado: $79,500.00 - $151,300.00
New York: $87,500.00 - $180,100.00
Washington: $83,500.00 - $165,700.00
The actual base pay within this range may be dependent upon many factors, which may include, but are not limited to, work location, education, experience, and skills.
Bread Financial offers medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, and other voluntary benefits (including basic and optional life insurance, supplemental medical plans, and short and long-term disability) to eligible associates (regular full-time associates scheduled to work 30 hours per week or more) and their spouses/domestic partners, and child(ren) under the age of 26. New associate elected coverage begins on date of hire (with the exception of disability coverage which has a 6-month waiting period). Six weeks of 100% paid parental leave for eligible parents is available after a 180-day waiting period. Hired associates can immediately enroll in Bread Financial's 401(k) plan.
All associates receive 11 paid holidays. Associates have discretion in managing their time away from work through the Flexible Time Off (FTO) program and may need to notify and receive approval from their manager prior to taking the time off. Associates receive 80 hours of Paid Sick and Safety Time per calendar year at the beginning of each year and is prorated in the associate's first year of employment.
Hired associates will be able to elect to purchase company stock during offering periods in June and December. You will be eligible for an annual incentive bonus based on individual and company performance.
