Responsibilities
• Filing of multi-state sales tax returns
• Reconciliations and related journal entries
• Financial reporting and job costing
• A/R and A/P assistance
• Ability to assess opportunities to improve efficiencies
• Perform additional projects as needed
• Advise on ways our company can optimize our financial efficiency
• Manage business by performing regular financial reporting and keeping accounting systems and financial documents current
• Bookkeeping: Ensure the accuracy and compliance of our financial documents such as balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and financial transactions
• Work in an advisory capacity on the organizational budget and strategic planning
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or a related field is preferred - a high school diploma is required
• Proficient with Sage and/or QuickBooks software and Microsoft Office products
• Experience in the construction or furnishings industry is preferred
• Exceptional organization, analytical, problem-solving, and communications skills are important
• Excellent time management, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Must have 2 or more years of work experience in accounting services, financial services or similar
• Must have passed the uniform CPA examination from the AICPA and be CPA certified within the state board of accountancy regulations
• Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
• Candidate must have a bachelor's degree in accounting or similar field, Master's degree preferred
