Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial activities of our organization, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles. This is a key role within our finance department, and we are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, analytical, and has a strong understanding of financial reporting and analysis.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Conduct financial audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations
- Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures
- Perform technical accounting research to ensure compliance with accounting standards
- Prepare financial reports for management and stakeholders
- Review and reconcile general ledger accounts
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts
- Mentor junior accounting staff and provide guidance on complex accounting issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives
- Utilize accounting software systems, such as Sage, to streamline processes
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (Master's degree preferred)
- CPA certification is strongly preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate accounting or public accounting
- Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- Proficient in financial statement preparation and analysis
- Experience with financial auditing and internal controls
- Knowledge of securities law and regulations is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
