Overview

Perform general accounting and financial reporting functions including recording journal entries, performing account reconciliations, preparing monthly and quarterly financial reports, and assisting with audit preparations. Candidate must have a strong work ethic, high standards of accuracy and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for general accounting functions including preparation of journal entries, intercompany accounting, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Ensures company financial statements are prepared in compliance with accounting policies, US GAAP, and other statutory or contractual reporting requirements.
• Ensures compliance with timelines for financial close and weekly and monthly management reporting and analysis.
• Assist with implementation and ongoing execution of new accounting standards.
• Assist with integration of acquired companies or business segments.
• Work closely with external auditors to ensure successful audit completion.
• Perform a variety of special projects
• And other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is required.
• 5+ years of experience in a multi-segment or multi-national organization.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting.
• High degree of proficiency with Excel.
• High standards of accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly-driven and self-motivated.
• Ability to work collaboratively across departmental functions.

Preferred Skills

• CPA license is preferred
• Public accounting experience preferred.
• Experience with M&A accounting preferred.
• NetSuite ERP experience is preferred.
• Experience with process improvement and automation preferred.
