Your Role:

MilliporeSigma is seeking a Technical Application Specialist. The position will work with the local Sales team, MSAT, R&D, and project management to support customer opportunities in the United States and Canada.

Responsibilities:

• Organize and execute technical symposiums around our upstream products and services mainly to Regional Biotech accounts in Northeastern USA
• Support customer opportunities
• Go-to-market strategy execution
• Initial product adoption application support to the North American commercial team and customers
• Create insightful win/loss analysis
Develop an in-depth understanding of market trends and needs and to communicate the “voice of the customer” to the internal organization.

This position will include up to 50% domestic travel to customer locations & corporate locations within the USA and Canada.

Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Microbiology, Chemical Engineering or other Scientific or Engineering field
2+ years of experience in Upstream process development or operations, with an emphasis on Mammalian Cell Culture and Viral & Gene Therapy

Preferred Qualifications:

• Graduate degree science or engineering degree and/or a Master of Business Administration

• 5+ years related hands-on relevant experience in the biopharma industry

• Demonstrated ability to establish strong partnerships with internal and external partners
• Viral & Gene Therapy expertise
• Experience working in a sales/marketing organization
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively to diverse audiences through both written and oral communications
• Strong customer and sales orientation
