Purpose of the Position
The Senior Accountant will build critical relationships with various departments (Accounting, Finance, Operations, Marketing, etc.) to assist with all business cycles (revenue cycle, AP Cycle, Payroll Cycle, Treasury Cycle), financial resource assistance, and day to day accounting (w/all cycles of accounting) in order to achieve Eureka! short- and long-term goals. Given the Company’s fast paced culture and aggressive growth goals, this hire will be ambitious, curious, collaborative and able to demonstrate a high level of self-awareness and accounting knowledge.
Position Requirements
- Have the ability to direct the efforts, quality and timeliness of all aspects of various business cycles (Revenue Cycle, Accounts Receivable Cycle, Accounts Payable Cycle, Inventory Cycle, Payroll and Treasury Cycle)
- Good understanding of month-end process, including but not limited to preparation of financial statements, accruals and journal entries, maintain reconciliation for all balance sheet accounts in accordance with generally accepted accounting principals.
- Assist Department Heads, Regional Directors in researching any discrepancies or problem highlighted in the financial reporting and non-financial request.
- Perform all daily, monthly, and other periodic accounting and financial reporting in an accurate and timely nature.
- Lead/ Assist with the company’s financial annual review/ audit
- Lead/ Assist with the company’s taxes and/or gather tax document
- Support with the preparation of the annual financial statements in conjunction with the annual financial statement audit
- Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Vice President of Finance.
- Have a working knowledge of all areas in Accounting and Finance to ensure that coverage can be provided for employees on vacation or on leave.
Requirements include
- BA/BS in Finance, Economics, Accounting or Business Administration
- Solid understanding of GAAP and finance principles
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented with effective organizational skills
- Previous experience in the hospitality industry is preferred, but not required
- Prior experience with complex consolidations is preferred, but not required
- Must be comfortable working both independently and in a team environment
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines and maintaining strong attention to detail
- Experience with Compeat Advantage, Ctuit, and Plate IQ are highly desired
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
