Discipline Overview
Client Services is what connects the agency to our clients. Members of the client services team are ambassadors for the client during internal meetings and for the agency during client meetings. They serve as the experts on internal processes, and also on the client’s brand and products. They inform the clients on best practices, industry standards, and competitive insights. Responsibilities include: briefing client projects into the agency, developing project briefs and time-action plans, gathering all necessary assets, getting client approvals and signoffs, and ensuring every project is delivered on time within budget.
Job Overview
The Senior Account Manager provides support to the Client Services team in the day-to-day management of assigned accounts. The role involves serving as a liaison between the agency and the client--managing relationships with multiple client stakeholders. The Senior Account Manager will have the support of various internal teams to ensure SOW deliverables are provided on time and meet the clients’ goals. Additionally, this individual will lead the project management process from inception to completion, including participation in budget determination, creation of project schedule, managing resources for deliverables, Determining possible flags, and ensuring adherence to the approval process.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Primary POC with clients, handling daily communication, client deliverables, and larger scale relationship building with prominent brands
Partners internally with discipline teams to drive projects through the agency, creating and maintaining tasks and timelines to ensure client deliverables stay on track
Tracks client budgets both with client and with the agency finance team
Able to adapt to uncertainty, while maintaining productivity throughout rapid change, ambiguity, and surprises
Ensures client and agency adhere to Statement of Work (SOW) documents, routing changes through the agency and client
Gather and assemble background information and analysis to assist manager in development of reports, plans, and strategies
Manages vendor relationships as appropriate
Stays connected to client social media strategies and social execution while also being attuned to client needs, business objectives, and key stakeholders
Develops internal/external meeting agendas, meeting notes, and related materials
Monitors industry trends across client/competitive industries and social media in general
Qualifications & Experience Required:
Previous client management or project management experience is required
Minimum of 5 years of experience in client management
3+ years of experience in project management
Experience with project management tools like Wrike and internal communication tools like Slack
Ability to manage and track project budgets with clients and internal teams ahead of time
Prior social media agency experience a plus
Strong written and verbal communication skills required
- Must be able to build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, while overseeing project timelines
- Self-starter that instinctively identifies and proactively executes next steps
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
