About this position:Security and Facilities Director
Leads the agency’s comprehensive effort to provide secure, safe, and well-maintained facilities for our employees, volunteers, patients, and visitors.
Provides subject matter expertise and leadership in managing the agency’s Security and safety, including emergency preparedness and business continuity. Conducts assessments and works cross functionally to document and improve processes and procedures. Serves as a visible point of contact for staff and ensures regular communication and training on security issues. Oversees facilities management.
This is a full-time position and located in Seattle, WA
What you’ll be doing:
Provides expertise and best practices regarding Security and safety, emergency preparedness and business continuity.
Works with the Security Managers to conduct assessments and inspections and establishes internal controls and metrics related to Security and safety. Modifies policies and procedures to make improvements as needed.
Chairs the cross-functional Safety and Security Committee to address safety and security concerns, as well as proactively seek improvements.
Leads and manages the effort to ensure the organization can continue to operate in cases of serious incidents or disasters and is able to quickly recover to an operational state.
Initiates other cross functional teams as needed to create emergency preparedness and business continuity plans including recovery plans and contingency plans.
Works with management at all sites to coordinate security trainings and drills. Reviews and reports on results.
Serves as the agency’s prime point of contact for all issues relating to security, safety, and Facilities. Ensures staff have a resource during and after business hours for Security and safety concerns.
Provides regular communication to staff about Security and safety, passing on potential threats and precautions from PPFA or other entities. Creates and publishes the periodic security newsletter.
Coordinates risk assessments on key staff, board members or donors for personal, home, and social media safety. Works with Information Services and Human Resources to provide appropriate security measures.
Develops and maintains close liaison and cooperative working relations with federal, state, county, and city law enforcement agencies, other security professionals, PPFA, and PPFA affiliates on issues related to Security and safety.
Reports security incidents to PPFA and oversees internal incident reports related to Security and safety.
Ensures security systems are consistently monitored at all sites and provides oversight to monitoring systems, intrusion detection and access control.
Responsible for confirming access codes are regularly changed and keys and access cards are collected from departing staff.
Researches and selects vendors for security support. Schedules, orientates, and oversees contracted security officers and manages agency relationship with contracted security.
Coordinates with Human Resources and Training to ensure all staff and volunteers receive Security and safety training.
Understands, interprets, and enforces new and/or updated federal, state, and local Security and safety regulations.
Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local laws regarding safety.
Ensures PPGNHAIK is in compliance with all PPFA accreditation requirements related to security, safety, business continuity and Facilities.
Provides expertise and best practices related to facilities management and ensuring facilities are maintained to appropriate standards.
Oversees facilities projects, needs and maintenance and works closely with the Facilities Manager to meet agency requirements on time and within budget.
Works with the Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer, and others, to identify current and future facilities requirements within new or existing communities in the affiliate. Works with the Facilities Manager to present options and key factors for consideration.

You’ll need to have:Education:
BA/BS in related field or equivalent experience
Experience:
Minimum of 7 years high level experience managing worked related to Security and/or facilities.
Minimum of 4 years management experience.
Demonstrated knowledge of state and federal safety regulations and codes
Emergency services or law enforcement experience preferred.
Facilities or construction management preferred.
Experience in the healthcare industry preferred.
Ability to travel, primarily in-state travel with some out of state travel.
Must have access to car. Valid driver’s license and automobile liability insurance required.
Compensation: PPGNHAIK's compensation philosophy is based on equity and transparency. Starting offers are determined by both the candidate's directly applicable experience and internal equity within the pay grade. The pay range is $99,336 to $184,481 annually.
